Day 5 - Oysters and Victory

The final morning, we awoke to sunny skies at the Bodega Bay Lodge. Mihai prepared another awesome pop-up outside breakfast, bottles were filled and the last day logistics discussed. Our team needed to get vans back, cleaned and returned, flights needed to be made, and we had a tight time schedule to adhere to. But all we had to do was ride our bikes!

Incredible morning winding our way through rural farmland south of Bodega on our way to Tomales and along Tomales Bay. A perfect SAG and a oyster shooter before trying to get back on schedule for lunch. We did, and then some, arriving a bit early to our final lunch spot. Mihai had the grill going and again we were treated to some awesome fresh cooked real food. Such a treat.

Oysters were on the menu, this time fresh from the grill. Rockefeller style.

Arriving in San Francisco was so fun. The group photos in a pumpkin patch (we now have a thing for Orange I think), and with city views. We arrived during fleet week, with the blue angels flying all around had car traffic snarled. We didn't care, as we weaved our way through the sea of tourists on the Golden Gate bridge.

Arrival from the bridge to the Argonaut Hotel was a triumphant victory lap. So many emotions; we wanted to get there, but also didn't want it to end and realizing just how fast the time had gone. It had seemed like yesterday that we set off from Brookings with a tailwind on our back and very, very long way to ride on our agenda. What a great feeling. But also the feeling of fellowship, after so many miles, so many stories, and overcoming our own adversities along the way to bring into focus of why we do these crazy adventures.

There is no someday. There are no second chances at time lost. So get out there and DO something. We did.
