MDC Day 3: Big Sur to Pismo Beach

We awoke to amazing conditions. Today was going to be perfect to traverse probably one of the nicest sections of coastline for this years MDC. I hedge a bit, because the Nine have seen some pretty amazing coastline that rivals Big Sur, but our 150 friends, its a show stopper. We stopped, we took pics, and we rode about 115 miles.

The miles started to really click by after the 6500 feet of climbing before lunch. Lunch was splended for those that enjoy charred animal flesh at the foot of the Hearst Castle in San Simeon. Then off again to try and get the average speed up a bit as we made our way through to Pismo.

Pismo is awesome, as our MDC is so large, we are now in three hotels. I found a washer in my room, and apparently it also drys, but takes a rocket scientist to figure out the controls. I might or might not have dry clothes in the morning LOL. Fingers crossed!

Tomorrow we head to Santa Barbara, which is usually the longest day of MDC, but this year is cut a bit short because we changed hotels. Can't say I'm upset. We also don our TdCA kits tomorrow, so the nine will be known as 'those crazy folks who rode from Oregon!'. Yup. Guilty.
