MDC Day 7: Dana Point to La Jolla

The Eight left the confines of the final hotel headed for home on a gloomy friday morning with drizzle and fog on the horizon. However our focus was really for two days time, when we will pull into border park and touch Mexico and complete our entire state-length journey. But today was all about everyone else on Million Dollar Challenge, and the amazing journey they have had from San Francisco. It's been amazing too.

Today we noodled to coffee at coffee cofee (next to surfy surfy), no really really. Then Maria got a front and rear flat at the same time after bragging how she hadn't had a flat the entire journey so far. Karma can work quick.

We were back on the road in time to make it to the Lodge at Torrey Pines and the final picture with everyone before we headed down to La Jolla Shores for the grand entry and parade of athletes and our awaiting loved ones. It was very special moment.

But in the back of the head, we had one last day to ride even though all our classmates are out of school today! At least we get to spend the night in our own beds.
